And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
These two verses sum up the events following the sixth trumpet judgement, focusing on the unrepentant state of a godless population. The two-thirds 2/3 who are still alive after one-third 1/3 of the population is killed: (Rev 9:13-19), flock to the altar of self-indulgence to worship the Babylon gods of gold, silver, brass, wood and stone.
Mankind has turned primal; driven to madness by the demons they worship. They commit mass murders, and are addicted to potions of mind-altering drugs. They remain unrepentant of their evil works: murders, wicked pleasures of fornication, thefts and sorceries. Sorceries is a translation from the Greek word; pharmakōn - drugs: toxins and poisons used with spirit channeling, demon summoning and spell-binding. Wickedness rules a world where lawlessness abounds.
The Worship of Idols:
The idols are crafted after the demons they worship. These idols are made from gold, silver, brass, stone and wood. They call upon these man-made creations for deliverance, and continue to defy the one true God.
Not only are metals praised and worshiped but, the world submits to the worship of devils, - demons, and is intoxicated by drug use, sorceries and poisons, dispensed by the harlot city. Rev 9:21; 14:8, 18:23.
Verse 20 tells us that those who are still alive are worshiping devils: (Greek: δαιμόνια
demons), and creating useless idols, from the work of their hands. This crafting of idols had been a common theme throughout the Mesopotamia: Duet 4:28, 32:17; 2 Kings 17:30-40; Isaiah 46:1, 44:9-20; 46:6-7; Psalms 115:4-8; 135:15. The idols of the nations were made by the works of human hands and are completely useless, as they will neither hear, breath, walk or speak.
The Babylonians worshiped the gods of gold, silver, brass, iron, stone and wood: Daniel 5:4,23. During the tribulation period, we see these same metals in the creation of idols by those who remain, when the world goes mad. This tells us that the world will revert back to the tower (temple) of Babel- the gate of the gods, and Babylonian paganism will rule the earth once again. They will worship the metallic gods of gold, silver, brass, stone and wood, until a man-made image is created that everyone must bow before, in worship. Daniel 3:4-7; Rev 13:14b-17
But, there's more, Power returns to Babylon:
From Daniel 2: The kingdoms grafted into Nebuchadnezzar's dream image were represented by metals that the Babylonians worshiped. The head of gold was Nebuchadnezzar, the silver of the chest and arms, the Mede-Persian empire, and the belly and thighs of brass or bronze was the Grecian empire. Each kingdom had a king who lived in Babylon: the Chaldeans ruled the middle east from Babylon, Darius the Mede took the throne the night Babylon fell to the armies of Cyrus the Great: Daniel 5:31, and, Alexander the Great ruled his vast empire from his secondary home in Babylon; where he later died.
Following the timeline of kingdoms, the placement of the kings and, the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, who wished to know the future of his kingdom and what would become of it in the latter days, the legs of iron indicate a long period of time when ruling power was removed from the middle east, and Babylon had no king.
The fourth kingdom, the feet and toes of iron (political) and clay (religious), parallels the fourth beast from the sea: Daniel 7:7,8,16-25; Rev 13, and provides the final king: the little horn aka: antichrist. This kingdom of ten toes, ten horns, ten kings rises prior to the return of Christ Jesus: Daniel 2:44; placing the fourth kingdom in the tribulation period; returning power to the middle east. The time period for this kingdom is in the latter days; fulfilling the prophecy of the fourth kingdom; the focus of Nebuchadnezzar's dream: Daniel 2:28,29.

Murders:
Man has turned primal, worshiping demons upon the altar of self indulgence, and murders are out of control. Mankind will hate each other and, as iniquity increases, nation will rise against nation (ethnos - ethnic groups) and kingdom against kingdom. Matthew 24:7a,10,12.
There will also be murders committed against all who refuse to submit to the beast kingdom and its king, the antichrist. Murders will eventually become legalized and even required; bound to a mark of submission of a man-made image, its name or αριθμος αυτου - 'the number of it.' Submission to the authority of the beast kingdom will control the buying and selling of all mankind; the rich the poor, the strong and the weak. Refusal to worship the image will result in death: 13:15b. The majority of death sentences will be carried out in Babylon the Great, The Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth; a commercially corrupt harlot city united to the beast kingdom, in the last days. Rev 17:6,18.

Sorceries:

Sorcery is the dark nefarious art of invoking spirits for knowledge and power. Sorceries are drug infused magic; the use of mind-altering substances to provoke the spiritual realm..
Pharmakeia: φαρμακεία is the Greek word for narcotics, poisons, toxins, hallucinogens and psychedelics, used in demon summoning, magical arts and spellbinding. This word is translated into English as: sorceries, witchcraft. Natural toxins such as mandrake root, poppy and khat, played a huge part in shaping the post-flood Mesopotamian culture after Babel scattered; and, pharmakeia will play a role in the last days, deceiving the inhabitants of the earth; opening them up to the nefarious realm of the spiritual world.
Pharmakeia - hallucinogens, toxins and psychedelics will be commercially distributed by the harlot city (Babylon the Great) to every citizen, by merchants during the tribulation. At least, that’s what scripture tells us will happen: Revelation 18:23:
And the light of a candle shall not shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee; for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

In Revelation 9:21 another form of pharmakeia: pharmakōn φαρμάκων - poison, toxin, or drug used in demon summoning, magic and spell casting, which is translated to sorceries. The verse validates the use of psychedelic drugs in relation to the increase of immoral acts; demon worship, murder, idolatry and fornication in the last days. These drugs are distributed by the harlot city; the international port city which will dominate religious and economic harlotry: the buying and selling on a global scale. Revelation 14:8; 18:11-16, 23
...And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. Rev 14:8

The world will be eaten alive by the empty bodies, and blackened souls of those who partake in the cup of her toxic wine or, serve as 'super soldiers' for the beast kingdom. The use of black market pharmakeia, hallucinogens and psychedelics, will be legalized as a general commodity, once the laws and regulations governing the old world, are stripped away. The use of drugs will be as common as aspirin, and used to corrupt the body, the soul and the mind; given them over to their own desires. The general use of hallucinogens and psychedelics would create a global rise in lawlessness, wickedness, murders and immorality.
Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of mankind was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually Genesis 6:5.... And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Matthew 24:12
The timing of events is set in the tribulation period in which John serves as a witness, recording these events as instructed: Rev 1:19. Since John’s vision is for a future time, the great apostasy, the rebellious falling away lies heavy upon the earth and, sin is normalized. Mankind has turned primal, relying on pharmakeia and the worship of idols; defying the God of creation, remaining unrepentant.
