Revelation 13 Rise of the False Prophet

Beast Out of the Earth: The False Prophet

The beast out of the earth represents the religion or, religious system of the first beast; the beast out of the sea.

The beast out of the sea is a kingdom, specifically recognized by ten kings, and the eleventh king; the little horn or, antichrist. This beast represents the iron in the feet and toes of Nebuchadnezzar's dream image-- while the clay represents the second beast, the beast out of the earth. The beast out of the earth is the religion or religious system of the first beast, recognized by it's 'king'; the false prophet. The beast out of the earth has the same power of the first beast: the beast out of the sea.

During the tribulation period, the beast kingdom is regulated by its religious system. This religious system is governed by the enchanter, the sorcerer, the false prophet. This is the religious system that attacks Israel and those who have the testimony of Christ Jesus.

False prophet is from the Greek:  ψευδοπροφητης which means: to prophesize falsely, a medium. This should come as no surprise, as the beast out of the earth, speaks the words of the red dragon: the murderer, the father of lies John 8:44. The false prophet works as a religious cheerleader for the kingdom of darkness and its king; the little horn.

The false prophet is a high priest, sorcerer, a master magician who rules in the kings court, performing great signs and wonders, deceiving those who dwell upon the earth. These signs and wonders are nothing new, they have been practiced by sorcerers and magicians for thousands of years, throughout the post-flood Mesopotamia. The courts of the Kings, along with the palaces of the Pharaohs, were filled with false prophets: magicians, sorcerers, seers, diviners, enchanters and necromancers; working in service to their kings. This is what the false prophet represents; a master magician working in service to the king.

The second beast performs miracles in sight of the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. A 'beast' kingdom is different from a non-beast kingdom; only a beast kingdom can be mortally wounded or slain, as a 'beast' - is a living, breathing entity: lion, bear, leopard or, beast with ten horns. The beast (kingdom) was mortally wounded by the sword, and did live. Rev 13:3,13,14; 17:8,11.

The Beast out of the earth is given two horns like a lamb, though he speaks as the red dragon. Horns upon an animal represent age and strength. In the Bible horns represent power, strength, authority and at times spiritual warfare. The false prophet is given two seats of power and authority - religious and economic, The interesting thing about lambs is that, lamb don't have horns until they grow into sheep. This imagery suggest that the false prophet possesses an old soul in a youthful body; a demonic entity. This also suggests that the false prophet mimics the sacrificed Lamb of God, Christ Jesus.

The false prophet is deceptive, satanically empowered, using supernatural powers to deceive many. He is a master of deception; a master magician who mimics the prophet Elijah by bringing fire down from heaven. Elijah was the only prophet who brought fire down from heaven in the name of Yahweh. He does this not once, but three separate times: 2 King 1:10-14; 1 Kings 18.

While Elijah did this in acknowledgement of the Kingdom of God; the false prophet highlights the earthly power of Satan, the god of this world and the spiritual realm Satan controls; the kingdom of darkness, The false prophet employs the power of darkness; directing the focus away from the true God.

The false prophet, he who prophesizes falsely, is oftentimes referred to as the false Christ by some Bible teachers, while other times the antichrist is given that role. It appears to be the false prophet who will be given control over demons in order to perform false miracles, signs and wonders and not the little horn or, antichrist.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.. Matthew 24:24

The Image:

The false prophet will convince those living on earth, to create an image of the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed 13:12. He gives life (breath) unto the image, so that the …. image may speak, and cause those who will not worship it, to be killed. … And he, the false prophet, causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads. Revelation 13:14b-16

The false prophet is the one who gives life (πνευμα - spirit, automation) to the image of the first beast, causing it to speak - this is the religious power of the Beast out of the earth. He also enforces the submission to the image, and binds the buying and selling to the image. The buying and selling is dependent upon submission or, worship of the image. These actions represent the two horns, religious authority and corrupt economic power.

The Greek translated to English as image is: εικονι - icon, prototype - a likeness, formed by art: most likely an idol.

The Mark of the Beast:

In addition to signs and wonders, the false prophet will enforce the mark of the beast in submission to the image. The mark cannot be given out until the image of the beast  is created. The beast kingdom must be in position of global authority with the little horn speaking arrogant, and blasphemous words against the most high and, warring against the saints. Once the image of the beast is created, then the mark is initiated. The mark proves  submission and loyalty to the beast; the kingdom. The antichrist kingdom is full of blasphemy; men and women, who mock and blaspheme the God of heaven, and the sacrifice of His Son. Rev 17:3b. They are loyal to their religious system and antichrist, who blasphemes God, His name, His tabernacle and those in heaven, day and night. Rev 13:6

And that no man might by or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 13:17

The Greek word for mark is: χάραγμα - charagma meaning a trademark, etching, stamp or imprint. This is something that is worn on, upon, onto the skin: Greek επι - epi on, upon - over the skin. This mark is a sign of allegiance to the beast kingdom and worn proudly by  those who submit to the image, the red dragon, his beast kingdom and the king. The KJV translates this as 'in' the skin but, I believe this is simply an error in translation.

The timing is set mid-tribulation as: the beast kingdom 13:1-4 rises to world power, the little horn seizes the kingdom of ten horns: Rev 13:5-10, and the beast out of the earth, who performs miracles and lying wonders, also rises to world power alongside the beast kingdom. Rev 13:11-16.

The mark cannot be given until an image is made of the beast kingdom. The beast of ten horns rises from the bottomless pit, mid-tribulation as antichrist rises to global authority among ten horns. The image may represent both, the king and the beast kingdom. This is similar to Nebuchadnezzars dream image, which represented both the king and, the future of his kingdom. But, this is just a probable guess leaning upon Daniel 2.

The False Prophet doesn't create the mark; it is ready and waiting for him to fulfill its purpose; global submission and control. These things are being created now, as the sixth world kingdom comes to an end, preparing for a seventh to rise. There are some seriously dark spiritual principalities behind its creation.

The Greek word, a numerated abbreviation: χξς is translated into, 666 - a number of calculation to mean: αριθμος αυτου 'the number of it.

We are further told that the number of the beast is a number of a man or, a man whose name resembles a number. This man directs the path of the beast; a kingdom of warlords and psychopaths who worship a false and malevolent god, that demands war against the saints and all those (unbelievers) who refuse to worship the image, its mark or the number of it

Many use gematria and number tricks in order to solve this mystery but, this is a mystery that may not be solved until the rise of the beast kingdom. We are to use wisdom and understanding, when deciphering χξς; which suggests that this is not a literal meaning, but a symbolic one. Similar to how the seven heads are seven mountains and, seven kings; a mountain represents a kingdom in old testament, prophetic symbology and, kings rule over kingdoms.

This is a work in progress as it is a current, ongoing study.
