Daniel 7: Order of events Part 1: Four Beast Kingdoms:
Daniel had a dream, a night vision in the first year of Belshazzar. Belshazzar was regent king who ruled in place of his Father, King Nabonidus who ruled the Babylon kingdom from: 556-539 B.C., King Nabonidus spent most of his time in Arabia to worship the crescent moon god, from the ancient city of UR, then he did in Babylon to worship Marduk.
In Daniel's night vision, he saw four winds of heaven stir up the great sea with such force, that four beast rose from the churning depths. Beast is translated from the Aramaic which means, animal. An animal can be a beast of the field such as oxen, Daniel 4.32 or, a beast that prowls the wilderness in search of prey.
Each beast was different from the other. The four beast are four kingdoms which parallel the four metals in Nebuchadnezzars dream image; gold, silver, brass and iron mixed with shard clay. Three kingdoms ruled the middle east with kings who lived in Babylon. The Chaldeans ruled from Babylon, King Darius took the kingdom on the night of the writing on the wall: Daniel 5, and Alexander the Great ruled his middle eastern kingdom from his home-base in Babylon, where he later died.
The fourth kingdom will provide the final king.
The first beast was similar to a lion, the second, a bear and the third, a leopard. The fourth beast is strikingly different- monstrous, and unlike anything Daniel had ever seen. Revelation 13:2 tells us that this beast, is an amalgamation of three previous beast kingdoms: the lion, the bear and the leopard. So, this is a clue to the genetic makeup of the fourth beast; a mutilated, mangled mess of three deceased beasts. This also tells us the location from where the fourth beast will rise - Babylon, Mede-Persian and the ancient territorial boundaries of Alexander the Great's kingdom aka: the middle east.
The fourth beast has great iron teeth which crushes and devours the earth, stomping the residue with its feet, raking it with its brass nails, eradicating the world beneath him. Upon its head are ten horns. As Daniel watched, another, smaller horn began to rise, and the power of the beast increased. The little horn had the eyes of a man, and a mouth that spoke vile words of blasphemy, against the most High. Daniel 7:1-8,19.
The ten horns place the fourth beast into the tribulation period: Revelation 13:1; 17:12
Daniel stands in the presence of the Ancient of Days; His throne is like a chariot of fiery flame, and its wheels are a burning fire. A seat of judgement is set, and thrones are cast down, making seating available for the assembly. The court is seated and the books are opened. Daniel 7:9,10
The first one to receive judgement is the little horn who continued to blaspheme Yahweh, the Son of man, and those in heaven. He kept yakking, until the beast of ten horns was slain, and its body is delivered to fire; and the kingdom of the little horn was no more: Daniel 7:11
The remaining three beasts had their sovereignty and dominion removed, yet their lives are prolonged for a season and a time. They are neither destroyed nor, rendered a final judgment at this time. Daniel 7:12
As of today; the allotted time for the remaining three beast kingdoms, has not yet passed, as they will be revived from death, and united to form the beast of ten horns. Even when the fourth beast kingdom is destroyed, and its body is delivered to flames at the end of the great tribulation, the remaining three receive a reprieve.
As Daniel watched in his night vision, he saw one like the Son of man come with the clouds of heaven. The Son of man was brought near to the Ancient of Days (Yahweh) and given everlasting dominion and glory over the face of the earth. The only one worthy of this great honor is Yeshua Hamashiach; the anointed one: Daniel 7:13,14; Revelation 5:12
At the end of the great tribulation period, dominion is given to the Son of Man and, all nations, peoples and tongues will serve Him; and His kingdom will never pass away. Daniel 7:14. And the saints of the most High, will possess the kingdom forever and ever: 7:18,22.
Daniel was grieved and troubled, after seeing these four beast from the sea. He moved toward an Angel and asked for an explanation to the meaning of the vision. 7:15,16
The Angel told him: These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. Daniel 7:17
These great beast (kingdoms 7:23,24) which are four, the lion, the bear, the leopard and the beast with ten horns, rise from the sea: Daniel 7:2,3. The four kingdoms, are also four kings, which shall rise out of the earth. Kingdoms are ruled by kings, and kings rule over kingdoms. Beast kingdoms rise from the sea, while kings rise from the earth. This verse, similar to 17:10, ties kings to kingdoms; kings rule kingdoms, and kingdoms are ruled by kings.
Four Beast: Babylon, Mede-Persia, Grecian, beast with ten horns - the one that has not yet come.
Four Kings: Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus the Great, Alexander the Great, little horn who rules in unity with - the beast out of the earth, the false prophet - the false religious system of the first beast.
Then Daniel asked the Angel, to explain the truth of the fourth beast; who was so different from the rest. The beast kingdom was wicked, and monstrous in nature, devouring the earth with its iron teeth, raking it with his brass nails, crushing mankind beneath its feet. It had ten horns upon its head and, an additional little horn rose up among them, removing the power of three. The little horn, so full of arrogance and strength, left a troubling impression on Daniel, and filled him with dread. It was more persistent than the others, audacious, making war with the saints, and it prevailed heavily against them, until the Ancient of Days came, and cast His seat of judgement: 7:19-22
The Angel said: The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on the earth, which will be different from all the other kingdoms, and will devour the whole earth and tread it down and break it in pieces. And the ten horns, who rise out of this kingdom, are ten kings, and another horn, will rise after them, and he will be different from the first and will subdue three kings. He will speak arrogant words against the Most High and will wear down the saints of the Highest One, and will intend to make altercations in times and law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half time. Daniel 7:23-25
What Daniel saw in his night vision was a future world kingdom which rises during the great tribulation period, and the rise of a little horn, an eleventh king. The kingdom of ten horns, will rise from the territory of the lion, the bear and the leopard, and expand from the middle east, into the world, consuming it; devouring it beyond human comprehension.
Its purpose is to stop Yeshua Hamashiach from returning to earth to claim His kingdom. But in spite of the little horn, Christ Jesus will emerge victorious, and throw the beast of the ten horns, into the flames. When the beast is thrown into the flames, this also destroys the horns that rose from its head, as the horns are attached to the beast kingdom as part of his genetic makeup.
Daniel 7: Order of Events: Part 2: The Little Horn
The fourth beast that you saw will be the fourth beast kingdom on earth: Daniel 7:23. It will be different from the beasts before it, and it will devour the whole earth, stomp on it, and break it into pieces. Three beast kingdoms have already ruled: the lion, the bear and the leopard. There is one left; the beast with ten horns… the kingdom which has not yet come.
The ten horns are ten kings, who rise out of the kingdom telling us they rise from the same kingdom, which must be in place before the ten horns can rise: 7:24. The ten kings accumulate immense amounts of globalized power, laying the groundwork for another king, the little horn, who rises up among them as an eleventh king: Daniel 7:20
The little horn will be different from the ten before him, and as he rises to global power, he will subdue three, restraining the power in their hands - but, ten will still remain: Rev 13:1; 17:12. – This tells us that the ten kings must be in positions of global authority at the time the little horn rises among them. These are not kings of the past but, ten kings who will rule the earth during the tribulation period; prior to the return of Christ.
1) The fourth kingdom rises, 2) ten horns rise out of this kingdom, 3) the little horn rises
The little horn will basically rise among the ten kings, restraining the power of three, and seize the kingdom, taking control. The little horn will be ruthless, speaking great blasphemies against the Most High; he will war with the saints, wearing them out, and tread them underfoot.
And he shall speak great word against the most High, and shall wear down the saints of the most high: 7:25a
I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them: 7:21.
And it was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given to him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations: Revelation 13:7
He will seek to change times and laws -- (moral codes, Jewish law, worship and appointed times, erasing Yahweh, the God Head and Christ Jesus from all things). And, the saints will be given over to him for a time, and times and the dividing of time: 7:25b.
The precise wording, a time and times and the dividing of time, concerning the timing of the persecution of the saints, point specifically to the last three years and a half (3 ½) years of the tribulation period, when persecution of the saints intensifies.
… and they will be given into his hand until a time, and a times and the dividing of time: Daniel 7:25b…. And power was given to him to continue forty and two months: Rev 13:5b.
But the court, seated with the Ancient of Days and, the Son of man, Daniel 7:26, will take away the authority of the little horn to kill, and destroy, until the end of mankind has come. Time must be cut short or all of humanity will perish. If humanity is destroyed, there is no remnant of Israel to save. If there is no remnant of Israel to save, then, there is no reason for the King of Kings to return and, Satan will win. (We already know who wins this war)
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened: Mathew 24:21,22
The little horn, and his trademarked horde, will wage a full out war on humanity, specifically targeting Christians and Jews, as he prepares to rule a Godless world as a totalitarian king. Anyone who refuses to worship the image, or, take its mark, will be hunted and given into his hand for persecution; as a sacrifice to ‘the god:’ Daniel 7:25, Revelation 13:15b
This endeavor will be coordinated and decreed from Babylon; the Gate of the deity, the gateway into the middle east: Revelation 17:6:
And I saw the woman (Babylon) drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Daniel 7: Order of events: Part 3, Wearing Down the Saints
Throughout the Bible, the Saints are referred as the holy ones, the believers, or the people of God. Saints can be the people of Israel or, Christians who are washed clean by the blood of Jesus, Yeshua Hamashiach. In the Old Testament, the Saints are those who are in a covenantal relationship with YHWH - Yahweh, make sacrifices, and follow His commandments and laws.
Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. Psalms 50:5
In the New Testament, the saints are: hagios – a Greek word meaning holy or, set apart. Saint is extended to those who call upon the name of Yeshua, repent, keep the faith of Jesus and, eagerly await his return:
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Ephesians 1:1
Basically, we have saints in the old Testament as well as the new. The saints are those who are faithful to God the Father, Yahweh, and those who put their trust and faith in the Christ; the son of God, the sacrificed lamb, the risen savior.
During the tribulation, the saints are those that are saved by the blood of Jesus once the church has fallen away, physically and spiritually. During this time, the largest revival of faith one could possibly imagined will happen, turning unbelievers into believers: …. And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people: Rev 14:6
Antichrist and his marked horde will pursue those who refuse to submit to the beast; the kingdom of the red dragon. Those who refuse to worship his name or, the number of his name will refuse to take the mark.
The Israelites have their own religious festivals, laws and customs that will forbid them to participate in those created by antichrist and, the false prophet; or bow in submission to the image. For this reason, antichrist will be on the war path. When Israel flees into the mountains, under the protection of YHVH, antichrist will focus on those who have the testimony of Christ Jesus: Revelation 12:17
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
And then, beast kingdom rises from the sea: Revelation 13:1-4
